Making Memories

A few weeks ago, I helped a family in my neighborhood throw a wedding reception for their daughter that lives up in Salt Lake. They had asked me create a silk bouquet (there's a post all about this family). Well, my friend came over and brought me a copy of her video she made for her daughter...the whole slide show made me choke up and cry! I was so impressed with this families ability to work together and stay so spiritual at the same time. This was am LDS temple wedding and the groom was a return missionary. Just an adorable couple! I loved every minute of working with this family. The set-up and decorating at the church building was a party in it's self. The relatives all came together and put so many hours into this fun party.

It all made me think of my parent's reception for me and my R.M. I do need to thank them again for the money, time and efforts made on our behalf. Sometimes, it takes awhile to appreciate the compassionate service your own family gives. I can so feel the excitement and "kindness in the air" for my own son, who is about to enjoy by his new in-laws. They are also, very thoughtful and gracious! I'll add some pictures tonight when we get back:)
