Yesterday, I went driving around town with my hubby to do errands. He's an electrician-with lots of time on his hands these days (slow economy). So, we spent the afternoon picking up material and finding friends to visit.
One good friend, owns an airport hanger with lots of private jets. So, we dropped by to see the hanger and chit-chat about the weather. Because these two are close buddies, my hubby has access to the hanger-doors, which slide open. We slid the door open and drove in to look for friends farther back in the office. I noticed a plane that was in bad shape and asked why it was parked inside. I guess they can use the extra parts for the newer planes. My hubby and I walked around it to look at the damage. Pretty bad!
We went to the office and nobody was around, so we went back to the hanger doors to leave. My hubby asked me to back our van out and he'd lock the place back up. So as I backed my car out...I saw a person on the ground-under a jet! I signaled to my hubby-"LOOK!" and I pointed under the plane. I stopped the car and waited, then rolled my window down. I could see that a guy crawled out from under the plane-and my husband apologized for turning the lights off in the hanger. Then my hubby came over to the doors and said, "It's a mechanic!" (Freaky!). When my hubby finally got in the car, he acted like it was no big deal. I said, "Why didn't he come over to us when we first got here?!". We had no idea there was ANYONE in this huge building. If I hadn't seen this guy under the plane-he never would of said a peep. *Definitely made shivers run up my spine! (I'm so glad my brave husband was with me).
