Eloping in Utah

Well Folks,

We knew all along that Casanova and "Nicole Kidman" were eventually getting hitched. I will tell you that yesterday...was that day. They were kind enough to invite their mothers to witness the event- We are listing the blessings of this method:

  • Economical way- to $tart one's life as a married couple
  • No need for formal wear-jeans and t shirts are acceptable
  • Receptions are eventual-but not immanent
Activities are easy and go-with-the -flow afterwards-*they moved a couch:) We, as mothers, went to pick up the reception announcements. I was secretly thinking to my Mormon Mommy self: "Isn't this a little backwards?" and "Where's the spiritual side of all this?". Maybe that will come eventually too:D As for my mental health, I can now sleep at night.

I'm glad that will start sleeping again. lol...
I pray that one day you will be able to see your son and new daughter in white. But for now at least they are married.... and hopefully happy.
As for me... I'm too much of a girly girl to ever give up the opportunity to dress up like a princess.

Congratulations!
I am so happy for you. Just love them and let the lord worry about the rest. being one of the ones that did things a little backwards.

I agree with ldsfam...turn the burden over to the Lord...you can only do what you can do which is love, teach, and then let them go. You did your part and we'll just pray they make great choices from here on out! I'm glad you're sleeping better. everything feels worse when you can't sleep enough!

I dind't think I had my last name on my blog anywhere. I noticed you have my sister-in-law's blog listed as one you're connected to as well. How do you know her?

The Lord is aware of us and all our quirks and I'm so thankful he loves us anyway! Good luck to the new couple! (And to you!)

Well at least you can sleep now. At least they invited you to their wedding! Congrats to the new couple and joy to you! (you might just get some grand kids out of the deal...)

I've known people who had the big fantastic fancy wedding, whose marriage quickly failed, and other's who did the same kind of thing (eloped, or just very small and simple), and theirs were the strongest, best marriages ever. Perhaps the white wedding will come later, keep it in your prayers and just turn it over to the Lord as already mentioned. Most importantly pray for their happiness.
All my best to them!!!
