Favorite Moments

I've reached into the shoe-box of old photos and found some cool pictures from days gone by. The oldest of these three is a black & white. My Mom wrote articles for women's magazines. I think she sold an article about family traditions, so the magazine sent a photographer to shoot a group shot of us decorating Christmas cookies. We went to my Mom's best friend's house and she dressed the kitchen up in holiday decor. She handed us aprons and pulled out all of her cooking items-I was amazed with her kindness. It looked like Christmas time (actually summer)and it felt like a holiday too.

The second picture was my son, Nick taking his Aunt Linda and Uncle Michael's snakes to school for show and tell. He carried those snakes around like a pro!! All the neighbor kids came over after school and he showed them off again in the driveway :)

The third picture is "my first" preschool graduation at Kid Connection-2002(I hosted this at the elementary school-because we had four different classes)I made the balloon arch and we did a patriotic theme with the kids singing, "God Bless the U.S.A.". My slide-show had children's pictures from our year together. My teacher, Monica (blond sitting on the floor) wrote the program and another teacher, Wendy(sitting in the chair in front) helped me direct the singing. This whole program means so much to me now when I look at it! Wendy died last year in an auto accident. We miss her so much...She was amazing! When I went to Wendy's funeral, her children hugged me tight. We had a lot of fun together in those early preschool days. I teach all my classes now, and we have a party at our school for graduation.
